Below are my predictions for the NFC Championship matchup between the Rams and Seahawks.

1. Which QB will have the MOST PASSING YARDS?

Candidates: Matthew Stafford, Drake Maye, Jarrett Stidham, Sam Darnold

Maye makes his first road playoff start against Denver's elite defense. Stidham takes the field for the first time in years. Darnold remains unreliable when it matters most. Stafford is the only proven veteran capable of putting up big passing numbers in a game of this magnitude.

PREDICTION: Matthew Stafford

2. Rank the players by who will have the MOST TOTAL SCRIMMAGE YARDS

Candidates: Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Kenneth Walker III, Rhamondre Stevenson

Walker has been relentless. He produced 164 total yards the last time these teams met and 145 yards in the Divisional Round against San Francisco. If the Rams and Seahawks haven't spent the week preparing for the opposing offense, their game planning has failed. In a tight NFC championship, Walker becomes the difference-maker.

PREDICTION: Kenneth Walker III

3. Which of the following will occur?

  • Matthew Stafford 2+ TD passes
  • Davante Adams 5+ receptions
  • Cooper Kupp 50+ receiving yards
  • None

Stafford must deliver at least two touchdown passes or the Rams face an uphill battle in Seattle. He threw two when these teams met in Los Angeles during the regular season and three when they played in the Pacific Northwest.

PREDICTION: Matthew Stafford 2+ TD passes

4. Predict the combined rushing yards for Kyren Williams & Kenneth Walker III

Williams found his rhythm on the ground this season, rushing for 161 yards across two games against Seattle. The ground game will drive both teams' offenses. Expect both elite running backs to approach 80-100 yards each.

PREDICTION: 162-187+ yards

5. How many points will be scored in the NFC Championship Game?

Over 47.5 or Under 47.5 points?

The first regular-season matchup was a defensive grindโ€”Rams won 21-19. The second was a shootout: Seahawks won 38-37 in overtime. But this postseason, the Rams offense has been efficient, averaging 27 PPG, while Seattle put up 41 points in the Divisional Round. The scoring trend points upward.

PREDICTION: Over 47.5 points

6. What will be the outcome of the NFC Championship Game?

Rams win or lose by 2 points or fewer OR Seahawks win by 3 points or more

The Rams were on their way to sweeping the season series and remain Super Bowl favorites. Darnold's inconsistency becomes critical here. Over Seattle's last four games, he's thrown three touchdowns and three interceptions. Last week's dominant 41-point output didn't produce a single Darnold TDโ€”a red flag in an elimination game.

PREDICTION: Rams win or lose by 2 points or fewer

Tiebreaker: Final Score

PREDICTION: Rams 27, Seahawks 23
