Early Declarations Flood in for 2026 NFL Draft
Underclassmen are navigating deadlines to declare for the 2026 NFL Draft, with differing timelines based on playoff participation.

The 2026 NFL Draft is still months away, but underclassmen across the country are racing to meet competing deadlines to declare their intentions—either committing to professional football or remaining in college.
Two separate declaration windows are now in effect. Underclassmen not participating in the College Football Playoff must file papers by January 5 to enter the 2026 NFL Draft early. Those on playoff-bound teams have an extended deadline of January 23 to make their decision.
The 2026 draft will take place in Pittsburgh from April 23-25.
