47.7 million viewers tuned in to watch the Green Bay Packers defeat the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day, shattering the record for FOX's early-window holiday game, according to an announcement from FOX Sports PR on Wednesday.
The viewership peaked at 57.9 million people at one point during the Nov. 27 broadcast, marking a historic high for the network since it began airing Thanksgiving NFL games in 1994.
The Game
The Packers dominated Detroit, winning 31-24 to sweep their NFC North rival. The team never trailed throughout the contest.
Jordan Love orchestrated the offensive onslaught, completing 60% of his passes for 234 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions, posting a 124.2 passer rating.
Wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks hauled in two of Love's touchdown passes, finishing with six receptions for 94 yards. Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs caught the other two touchdown strikes.
On defense, Micah Parsons recorded 2.5 sacks.
Green Bay improved to 8-3-1 with the victory.
