Jacksonville Jaguars Moving 2027 Home Games to Orlando

The Jacksonville Jaguars will temporarily relocate their home games to Orlando's Camping World Stadium in 2027 due to a $1.4 billion renovation of EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will play most of their 2027 home games at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, after NFL owners unanimously approved the temporary relocation Tuesday during the league's annual meetings in Arizona.

The move comes as the Jaguars undertake a $1.4 billion renovation of EverBank Stadium, their home facility in Jacksonville. The team has been searching for an alternative venue since unveiling the stadium overhaul plans in 2023.

How Orlando Won the Bid

Camping World Stadium emerged as the clear choice after Orlando leaders sweetened the deal with a $10 million sports-incentive package earlier this year. The venue itself is also undergoing a $400 million modernization project that will bring it up to NFL standards with improved infrastructure.

Jacksonville had considered other options, including Daytona International Speedway and Florida Field in Gainesville, but Camping World was always the frontrunner.

The Details

The Jaguars are scheduled to host 10 home games in 2027, including one preseason exhibition. However, the team can play up to three games in London that season, meaning Orlando is likely to host seven or eight NFL games, including in-state rivalry matchups against Tampa Bay and Miami.

The Challenge of Timing

The relocation comes at an awkward moment for Jacksonville. The Jaguars just completed a 13-4 season in 2025, winning the AFC South in the first year under general manager James Gladstone and coach Liam Coen. Now the franchise faces two consecutive seasons without a true home-field advantage—games were already moved to London for the 2026 season due to ongoing construction reducing capacity to 42,507.

Coen acknowledged the difficulties ahead but expressed cautious optimism about the move's potential benefits.

"There are going to be challenges and stressors and things that we have to work through," Coen said. "But I do think generally for our brand and for Jacksonville Jaguars football, I don't think it's going to kill us."

Coen noted that the proximity to Disney World could actually help the franchise connect with new fans, particularly given his own prior experience coaching at Camping World Stadium while at Kentucky.

Jaguars general manager James Gladstone framed the relocation as an expansion opportunity.

"You have a chance to breach a region of the state that you otherwise wouldn't have the luxury of doing," Gladstone said.

What This Means for Orlando

For Orlando—the largest U.S. media market without an NFL team—hosting the Jaguars, even temporarily, provides a showcase of the city's event-hosting capabilities. The metropolitan area boasts a major airport, extensive hotel infrastructure, restaurants, and nightlife sufficient to handle major sporting events.
