Las Vegas to Host Super Bowl LXIII Again in 2029

The NFL has announced that Super Bowl LXIII will be held in Las Vegas in 2029, marking the city's second hosting at Allegiant Stadium within six years.

The NFL announced Monday that Super Bowl LXIII will return to Las Vegas in 2029, marking the second time in six years the city will host football's championship game at Allegiant Stadium.

The Raiders' home stadium hosted its first Super Bowl in February 2024, when the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers. The back-to-back selection reflects a broader NFL trend of awarding multiple Super Bowls to the same markets within short timeframes.

Rapid Expansion in Western Markets

The decision underscores the league's growing concentration of championship games in California, Arizona, and Nevada. Super Bowl LXIII will be the sixth Super Bowl hosted in those three states within eight years.

The western corridor includes:

  • Super Bowl LX at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California (February 2025) — 10 years after its previous Super Bowl
  • Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles (February 2027) — five years after its first Super Bowl
  • Super Bowl LXII at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (February 2028) — the first Eastern Time Zone Super Bowl since 2021, though the same stadium hosted one in 2019

Executive Endorsements

"We're excited to bring the Super Bowl back to Las Vegas and provide our fans another incredible experience in one of America's greatest sport and entertainment destinations," NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said. "Super Bowl LVIII demonstrated the scale, energy and hospitality the city brings to global events, and we look forward to working alongside the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the Raiders and the community to deliver an even greater experience this time around."

Raiders owner Mark Davis pledged to exceed the previous event's standards.

"It's a testament to the Raiders, the LVCVA, civic leaders, the community, and the NFL working together as one. Super Bowl LVIII set a high bar, and for Super Bowl LXIII we are committed to raising it even further," Davis said.

Allegiant's Rapid Rise

Since opening in 2020, Allegiant Stadium has become a magnet for major events. Beyond two Super Bowls, the venue will host the College Football Playoff National Championship in January 2027, the men's college basketball Final Four in April 2028, and consecutive WrestleMania events in April 2025 and April 2026.
